Bavaria - no goalkeepers’ land
Klinsmann didn’t keep his part of the agreement when he promoted Hans-Jörg Butt and kicked out Michael Rensing of the starting eleven in Saturday’s game against Eintracht Frankfurt. Although a justifiable decision from a professional point of view, the verdict is ethically highly questionable after the Bayern coach promised Rensing to stand between the posts again on Saturday. A huge disappointment and a step back for the once declared Kahn successor. His future in Munich is thus highly at risk. I guess you can say that Klinsmann is running out of options. He argued that he can’t let Butt down after the Barca game where he got hit by Thierry Henry in the face and the team didn’t take revenge on the Frenchman by tackling him. To be honest, that is a point but still, not a nice move towards Rensing. Meanwhile is Germany’s number one and most coveted goalie Robert Enke in the news daily where he is linked to many clubs especially to the club from Bavaria. Bayern denied any contacts towards Enke, Enke denied any contacts towards Bayern and, yep, you know how this will end, Enke will be the new Bayern Goalkeeper for the 09/10 season. Bets will be accepted from today onwards.
I apologize for all the Bayern updates, but they are simply the most entertaining club right now… And that is not a compliment.
